Our History

Several years ago, God revealed the need for a Christian youth camp in northwest Romania to Mike King. God directed Mike to form Light Your World Ministries to accomplish this mission. God also brought Mike together with Mihai Micula, the pastor of Betel Baptist Church in Satu Mare, Romania and Joe Jenks, an American missionary in Sibiu, Romania. In 2005, after fervent prayer and several mission trips to Romania, God enabled Light Your World Ministries and Betel Baptist Church to purchase approximately nine acres in Baba Novac, Romania to build a Christian camp . With God’s grace, we plan to build at least five (5) wooden cabanas, (5) Brick Cabanas, and a two story multi-purpose building. It will cost approximately $4000.00 for each wooden cabana, $6000.00 for each brick cabana, and $150,000 to $200,000 for the multi-purpose building. The labor will be done solely by the team and the Romanian Christians with whom we are working. However, we need financial support to buy the necessary building materials. This will allow us to complete the task.

We would like to ask you to prayerfully consider becoming a part of this ministry by sponsoring (in whole or in part) a cabana. In the Bible, when Mordecai asked Esther to go to the king to ask him to save the Jews, he reminded her that God had placed her in that time and that place for a purpose. Please consider whether God has blessed your life in order to allow you to spread the blessed hope that all men have in Jesus to the lost.

We also need your prayers and encouragement as we undertake this mission. By working together, we know that we will be able to fulfill God’s will for this trip and take the light of Jesus to the lost in our world. As the apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:23-24, “Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace is with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.”
